False partial tally surfaces

There are no partial and unofficial tallies as of 6:30 pm, May 9, contrary to a video posted around 10:30 am on the same day, four and a half hours after polls opened.

The unofficial counting will commence after polls close, in line with the Commission on Elections’ resolution detailing election day activities.

Polls are set to close at 7 pm, but voters waiting in line beyond the cutoff are still allowed to vote.

A video by YouTube channel Basta Viral TV claims Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. is in the lead with 1,500,000 votes, with Leni Robredo trailing behind at 400,000, Isko Moreno at 250,000, and Manny Pacquiao at 80,000. The other presidential candidates were not mentioned.

The Commission on Elections, as the National Board of Canvassers, is set to resume canvassing votes on May 10 at 1 pm after suspending the day’s en banc session due to late transmission of votes.

The video now has 5,300 views. (LBA)
