Only look-alikes and not the real YouTuber Cong TV and Facebook personality Xian Gaza were caught in a selfie taken during the UniTeam rally in Cagayan de Oro City on April 26.
Ian Niel Sacuan Ortega first posted the photo on Facebook on April 26, asking if those were Xian Gaza (real name: Christian Albert Garcia) and Cong TV (real name: Lincoln Cortez Velasquez) . The following day, Facebook page We are One Pilipinas reposted the selfie with the caption:
Cong TV and Christian Albert Gaza spotted at BBM-SARA Grand Rally in Cagayan de Oro City.
On the day of the rally, Gaza was in Lisbon, Portugal as seen in his Instagram and Facebook accounts.
Gaza has over 1.1 million and 19.6 thousand followers on Facebook and Instagram respectively.
Meanwhile, Cong TV did not post his whereabouts that day.
He, however, refuted on March 18 an earlier claim that he would join the UniTeam sortie as a performer alongside other Filipino artists.
He also posted a vlog as a response to the issue which he said at 0:44 mark:
Guys, confirmed po. Yung mga nakikita niyo po sa internet na sinasabing pupunta kami sa ganito, pupunta kami sa ganyan, wala pong katotohanan lahat yan– fake news (It’s confirmed. Whatever you see on the internet claiming we will attend something somewhere, those have no basis– it’s fake news).
Velasquez has more than 9.6 million followers on YouTube, with overall 1.2 billion views on his channel, and over 6.4 million and 1 million followers on Facebook and Instagram respectively.
The selfie garnered 848 reactions, 63 comments and 42 shares, while Sacuan’s post received 79 reactions, three comments and 14 shares. (PA)
