A Twitter user has altered the statement of Sen. Grace Poe during the Women Today forum to include a derogatory term.
The quote published Nov 15 by Pinoytapsilog reads:
Being a woman in a leadership position has always been a challenge. When a man is tough and is a no-nonsense boss, they call him a leader. But when a woman is tough, they call use a… bitch.
Pinoytapsilog manipulated a Nov. 13 quote card of One News PH, which actually published another portion of the senator’s speech:
Behind every successful man is a woman. Narinig na ninyo 'yan. But behind every successful woman is a tribe of other successful women. You know this first hand, when you have your friends cheering you on. Let us help each other.
The quote Pinoytapsilog tweeted is found in Poe’s speech, but it had ended with a question mark (?). Pinoytapsilog changed the question mark to ellipsis (...) then added the word “bitch.” This is Poe’s original quote:

Nowhere in the senator’s speech did she use "bitch" or any derogatory language. (AL, MN)
